Okupe blasts APC candidate for boycotting NEDG debate. calls him "an illiterate"
The Senior Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe has described the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Party, APC, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari as an illiterate.
Okupe was reacting to the plan by the opposition party to boycott the presidential debate organised by the Nigeria Election Debate Group (NEDG) over what they tagged as ‘unhidden bias’.
Okupe claimed that APC decided to avoid the debate to save Buhari from shame, as he did not have record of performance, education and eloquency needed for a debate to match President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Reacting via his Twitter handle, controversial Okupe tweeted; “If APC didn’t withdraw from the debate, they would have been stupid. Their candidate has no record of performance. Neither is he educated nor eloquent” the statement reads.
